Nilesh Shah is the Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited, the asset management company behind Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund. He has over three decades of experience in financial services, with expertise in investment management, capital markets, equity, fixed-income securities and real estate investments. Before joining Kotak AMC, he held senior leadership positions at Axis Capital, ICICI Prudential Asset Management and Franklin Templeton, where he managed investments for domestic and international investors. He is a Gold Medalist Chartered Accountant and a merit-ranked Cost Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai. He currently serves as a part-time member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and has held leadership positions at the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), contributing to the development of India's mutual fund industry.
