Co-Portfolio ManagerSunil Singhania is the Founder of Abakkus, established in 2018, and an experienced investment professional with over three decades of expertise in equity markets and portfolio management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Bombay, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and a CFA charterholder. Before founding Abakkus, he served as Chief Investment Officer (Equities) at Reliance Asset Management, where he oversaw substantial equity assets, and later held senior investment leadership responsibilities across domestic and offshore businesses. He has also served on the CFA Institute’s Global Board of Governors and chaired its Investment Committee, contributing to investment research and professional standards globally.

Co-Portfolio ManagerBiharilal Deora is a Director at Abakkus Asset Manager with over 20 years of experience in investment management, credit research, financial analysis, and advisory services. Before joining Abakkus, he worked with global financial services firms including Credit Suisse and Fidelity Investments, and advised corporate clients, family offices, and university institutions across asset classes and international markets. He holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and is a rank-holding Chartered Accountant (CA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), with additional qualifications including CIPM. He also serves in industry leadership and educational roles, including with CFA Society India, and contributes as visiting faculty for advanced finance programmes.
